  • A rapidly vibrating platform
  • User is standing, sitting, kneeling, or placing your hands on the platform for:
    • Strengthening
    • Stretching
    • Balance exercises
    • Pre-exercise warm-up
    • Post-exercise cool-down
  • WBV offers the same physiologic benefits as other exercise does.
  • The platform moves up and down 20-50 times a second, depending on setting

  • Exercises are initially performed isotonic, using body weight
  • Then proceed to functional training, movements and weights
  • WBV activates the muscles via the a stretch reflex, the "Tonic Vibratory Reflex”
  • Muscle typically recruits 40% of muscle-fibers in any exercised muscle for endurance purpose
  • This increases the metabolic requirements during contraction, making the exercise more efficient
